Oil on Canvas Size: 8 x 16cm Framed: 24 x 32cm Andrew Tischler has painted Albany many times, continuously exploring the theme of dramatic seas meeting granite. On the southern coast, the light meets the wave at an interesting angle, creating a glow in the wave that beggars belief. Oil on Canvas Size: 15 x 28cm Framed: 41 x 54cm This original Graphite Drawing by Andrew Tischler is a hyperrealist work by the American-Australian Artist. This drawing depicts a typical rural scene in the surroundings of Lawrence, Central Otago, where Tischler lived for 3 years, until very recently. Here a dilapidated barn sits next to a gently flowing creek and sheep graze in the last light of the day. This drawing is a celebration of Tischler's faith, with the Cross hidden in the barn's facade, and the suggestive number of sheep. Often, Tischler will hide imagery within his scenes giving a nod to The Creator.

Tischler is anticipating using Wayne as the model for a future biblical series where Wayne will be a stand-in for the Apostle, Paul.
