Born in the UK and now a Perth local, John Chescoe has been a practising artist for over 50 years, exhibiting extensively throughout his career in numerous solo and group exhibitions – nationally and worldwide. Working across two and three-dimensional mediums, John is skilled at repurposing found and collected objects to create whimsical interpretations of sea creatures and abstract forms. Inspired and influenced by his extensive travels and passion for architecture, his unique bas-relief technique enables him to create elaborate multi-layered, textural landscapes, seascapes, abstract and architectural imagery.
His work is represented in many private and public collections and has won several sculpture, painting and people’s choice awards over the years.
