"Get Your Head in the Clouds" is an original Oil painting by Cameron Richards and part of the Moment of Encounter Series.
It portraits Michael, the Australian musician. When you listen to his music, a sense of calm is created, reflecting much of how Michael lives his life. Having suffered from anxiety which peaked halfway through his University degree, he has since adopted meditation and mindfulness to stay present and embrace the things that are bigger than him to give his life and problems context. Having a deep fascination with meteorology the artist found it certainly fitting to convey these themes of mental health and the bigger things through a single cloud above his head. It isn’t looming, he is moving towards it.
