West Coast Roller is an original Oil study by Andrew Tischler. The West Coast of New Zealand is as wild as it is remote. Tischler strives to capture a range of lighting scenarios in his work. Here he has painted an overcast day, with the slightest parting in the clouds above, to allow the light to spill into the foreground illuminating a wave, about to come to the end of its journey.
