This original oil painting by Andrew Tischler is a hyperrealist work by the American-Australian Artist. Amelia Gorge is located along the Cockburn Ranges in Western Australia's far north. The country here is incredibly arid, however, down in little fissures along the rocks dedicated explorers find gems of lush vegetation and fresh flowing water, protected from the heat of the sun. Here, a stream gently spills over rocks between paperbarks and palms with sunlight dancing in the foreground amongst the stones. 
Tischler's goal for every painting is to create the illusion of a 3-dimensional form on a 2-dimensional surface, which he accomplishes with his understanding of tone, color, form, composition as well engaging textured surfaces built up.
